Video Games

The first video game that I played was called "Planet Green Game". This one was a serious or educational game because it informs the player about ways to conserve energy and become more efficient. The mission of the game was to explore Evergreen Town to look for ways to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and the impact of global warming. Everytime I completed a mission, a pop-up about the techniques of conserving energy and how to reduce waste would appear on the screen. This helped me learn new things about global warming.
The second video game I played was called "Escape Your Boyfriend's Room". This game was more persuasive because it was for a cause. The player must find "warning signs" in the boyfriend's room and must find the key to escape it. This game is to help against domestic abuse. At the end is a page explaining warning signs and help against domestic partners. This is a good way to inform girls about the dangers of being in a bad relationship.
